All About CVD
Cardiovascular disease (CVD) is affecting women in vast numbers. CVD, also called heart disease is the #1 killer of American women - no matter what their race or ethnicity. One of every three women dies of heart disease1. By contrast, 1 in every 30 deaths in women is from breast cancer.
CVD doesn't just result in death, it can severely affect your ability to do every day activities. Risk factors associated with CVD are:
