Checking your pulse is not hard, and the more you do it, the better you'll get. Once you have mastered the technique, check a family member or friend. This is particularly important if they are over 55, since people in that age group are more likely to have Atrial Fibrillation (AF). Remember, AF can come and go and frequently has no symptoms. Even if the pulse of the person you check is regular, teach them the technique and ask them to check their pulse once a month. Tell a family member or friend about this website.
